Hunter Lawrence claimed victory in his first race of the day at the Motocross of Nations, leading from start to finish in dominant fashion. Despite two small mistakes, the Australian controlled the race to take the win by more than five seconds over Jo Shimoda. Jan Pancar impressed with a strong third-place finish ahead of Liam Everts and Maxime Renaux.
For Team Netherlands, Kay de Wolf lined up for the second time today and once again finished as the top MX2 rider in eighth position. With that result, De Wolf also secured the overall MX2 class victory. His teammate Calvin Vlaanderen delivered another solid ride to finish ninth, after both Dutch riders had to fight their way forward from outside the top fifteen.
With only one race remaining, Team Australia leads the overall standings with 30 points, followed closely by Team USA on 31 points and Team France with 33 points.
