Jett Lawrence claimed victory in the MXGP qualifying heat at the Motocross of Nations in the United States. The Australian rider held off a strong charge from Ken Roczen throughout the entire race to take the win, with Romain Febvre finishing third.
Lucas Coenen went down in the first corner but fought back impressively to finish in sixth place.
Glenn Coldenhoff took the holeshot and was riding strongly before running into misfortune. While holding eighth position, a rider crashed in front of him. With track marshals positioned far from the section, Glenn was unable to see the yellow flag and jumped directly into the incident. He suffered a heavy fall and is currently being attended to by medical staff. Hopefully, the injuries are not serious and he’ll be fit to race tomorrow.
