Crendon Tru7 Honda rider Jake Nicholls has had to withdraw from Sunday’s British championship finale at Lyng as he has been unwell for the past ten days.
Currently sixth in the series but just two points off fifth, Nicholls has sensibly decided to stay off the CRF250R as he’s not 100% fit.
“I’m gutted to miss Lyng of all rounds. It’s my local race and my favourite track of the year.
“I’ve ridden my bike once since Duns and the last ten days I’ve been sick so I’ve not been able to ride or train. I’ve just been flat out with work .
“It’s unrealistic to think I can just go and compete at national level around one of the toughest tracks of the year. Fifth in the championship is a possibility but I don’t want to go there, take risks and get hurt.”
His team-mate Conrad Mewse will race in the MX1 class on the CRF450R.
