Andrea Adamo powered to victory in the second moto in China, snatching the win from Simon Längenfelder in the final lap. The German looked set for the triumph, but the relentless Italian closed down a seven-second gap in the closing stages to take the checkered flag. Sacha Coenen secured third place ahead of Kay de Wolf.
With his first-moto win and third place in the second race, it was Coenen who took the overall Grand Prix victory, joined on the podium by Adamo in second and Längenfelder in third.
Rick Elzinga finished eighth in the second moto, while Jens Walvoort crossed the line in twelfth. Kay Karssemakers was forced to retire in the opening lap due to mechanical issues.
With just one Grand Prix remaining, Simon Längenfelder (884 pts) has extended his lead over Kay de Wolf (868 pts) to 16 points in the MX2 World Championship standings.
