Spirit of GB/Guy Martin x FCVMX

Known for his thrilling performances in road racing events like the Isle of Man TT and his engaging presence on popular TV shows such as ‘Speed with Guy Martin’ and ‘Our Guy in Colombia’, Guy Martin will be making an appearance on Saturday, September 13th at Farleigh Castle Vets MX event held at Farleigh Hungerford motocross circuit over the weekend of September 13th and 14th.

The well-known motorcycle racer, truck fitter, farmer, enthusiastic engineer and television presenter will be on site on Saturday, September 13th at the iconic and picturesque Somerset circuit which has held many epic events since the sixties, with the highlight for many of the Motocross fan’s present being the 90s 500 World Championship held there.

Guy Martin will race on a DocWob prepared 2002 Yamaha YZ250 motocross bike at the 2025 event to promote his upcoming attempt at the world land speed record. He is bang up for the challenge, and anyone who watches his iconic TV shows would appreciate that he’s not scared of much and is already in training for the race at his own track, Thoresway.

Exclusive to this event, the world land speed record attempt machine “The Spirit of GB” built by Alex Macfadzean and piloted by Guy will also be on display. There will be an opportunity to view the bike and ask the crew questions ahead of its attempt to beat the existing record of 376.363mph, taking place at the Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia in 2026. Guy has already tested the bike and will be completing further ‘slow’ test runs below 200mph in the UK with the team in February 2026.
