Estonia Announces Rider Lineup for 2025 Motocross of Nations in the USA

Estonia is proud to announce its rider lineup for the 2025 Motocross of Nations (MXoN), which will take place from October 3–5 in Indiana, USA. Representing Estonia for the 32nd time at this prestigious international event are Harri Kullas, Jörgen-Matthias Talviku, and Joosep Pärn.

The team was selected in close cooperation between Team Manager Martin Arumäe, Team Coach Tanel Leok, and the Estonian Motorcycling Federation (EMF) Motocross Commission.

Estonia has participated in every edition of the MXoN since 1993.

Team Manager Martin Arumäe commented:

“The selection process was far from easy. It began back in late July when Tanel and I started discussing rider options. We had great collaboration with the EMF and the Motocross Commission.

I also want to express sincere thanks to all our supporters who continue to back Team Estonia and help maintain our consistency at this level. Thank you for your trust!

This year’s race will not be easy. It will be Joosep’s first time at MXoN, but if he can stay calm and focused, I believe he can deliver a strong result. He has already shown impressive speed at several European rounds this season.

As for Harri and Jörgen, I’m confident in their experience and pace, especially on American soil. The key will be avoiding technical issues and crashes — if everything goes smoothly, we can expect strong performances from both of them.”

Joosep Pärn (MX2):

“It’s a huge honor to represent Estonia at the Motocross of Nations. This has been my dream ever since I started riding motorcycles. To share this experience with Jörgen and Harri is the cherry on top. A big thank you to the EMF for their trust, and to all the sponsors supporting us in this journey. We’ll do our best to make Estonia proud!”

Jörgen-Matthias Talviku (MXGP):

“Our team is solid this year! Team spirit is essential at an event like this, and I believe we have that. Harri already has a lot of experience racing in the U.S., so adaptation shouldn’t be a problem for him.

For Joosep and me, it’s a bit different, but it’s great to have fresh energy on the team. I’ll do my best to support him and share my experience.

This will be my fourth time at the MXoN, and the Ironman track holds some of my best racing memories from the U.S. I’m excited and honored to wear the blue, black, and white for Estonia once again.”

Harri Kullas (MXOPEN):

“The season didn’t start smoothly with a new team and new people, and we weren’t fully prepared for the early rounds. But we worked hard throughout the season, made good progress with the bike setup, and gained confidence.

Finishing 12th overall this season was a strong result, and we scored points in every race we entered. My form and speed are good, and I’m ready for the Motocross of Nations — it’s the biggest race of the year, and I’m really looking forward to it.

Jörgen has had a solid season in Europe, and it’s clear that his speed is there. We should be strong in the MXGP and MXOPEN classes.

In the MX2 class, we’ll have a newcomer. It will be Joosep’s first MXoN, but his career is on an upward trajectory, and he’s shown flashes of brilliance this season. He’s earned his spot. Mentally it will be tough, but we’ll support him, and I hope he can enjoy the experience and give his best performance in early October.”

Team Coach Tanel Leok added:

“This is the current state of Team Estonia, and I believe this is the best selection available. We must respect the riders’ preferences and strengths in each class.

If Harri and Jörgen feel they can perform best on 450cc bikes, then that’s the route we must take. Both are very experienced, especially Harri. Forcing them into MX2, where they might feel uncomfortable mentally or physically, wouldn’t be right.

Jörgen’s form has clearly been improving, and if he keeps training and racing at this level, he’s heading toward the peak of his career. Harri is always extremely hardworking — a true perfectionist.

Yes, Joosep might seem like the weakest link, but he is coachable, open to learning, and doesn’t argue over what works or doesn’t. That kind of attitude is invaluable. He carries a big responsibility, but I believe he can surprise many if he has a good day. People who’ve seen him train know how fast he can go, and he’s proven that in races as well.

One last message: Some may disagree or be disappointed with the choices made. But once the decision is final, we must unite behind the team. This is a team event. If riders and fans support one another, we can build a stronger future — together.”
