After five strong and memorable seasons, Dutch sand racer Lars van Berkel is officially parting ways with Team SR Honda France. Looking back, the partnership has been marked by consistent success, including multiple podium finishes at the legendary Le Touquet beach race and top results in the French Sand Championship.
Proven Performance at the Highest Level
During his time with the French team, Van Berkel established himself as a top contender in the sand racing scene. His standout performances at Le Touquet include three third-place finishes (2022, 2024, and 2025) and a fifth-place result in 2023. In the French Sand Championship, he secured the following final standings: 3rd in 2022, 2nd in both 2023 and 2024, and 4th in 2025.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together,” said Van Berkel. “These results wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the entire team – from the mechanics to the sponsors and fans. I’m truly grateful for all their support.”
Looking Ahead
