Nicolas Vennekens of VNT Racing KTM managed to collect two World Championship points during the Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem.
The Arnhem circuit was slightly harder than in previous years, making conditions deceptively tough over the weekend. Vennekens qualified 22nd on Saturday but, after crashing at the start, he knew there was more potential for Sunday’s races.
An early crash in the opening moto cost him his chances of scoring points. He eventually crossed the line in 21st place but was determined to improve in the second race.
A strong start in moto two gave him a good position early on. Vennekens set a solid pace and moved into 19th place halfway through the race. He held onto that spot until the finish, securing two valuable points.
With these results, Vennekens finished 20th overall for the day and now sits 24th in the championship standings. For VNT Racing KTM, this was the final Grand Prix of the season, as only three overseas rounds remain on the calendar.
