Nicolas Vennekens of VNT Racing KTM scored another World Championship point during the sixteenth round of the MX2 World Championship in Uddevalla, Sweden.
The weekend didn’t start as planned, as Nicolas struggled to find the right suspension setup. With each session things improved, which allowed Vennekens to fight for World Championship points in Sunday’s first moto.
Starting from twenty-fifth position, Vennekens worked his way up to twentieth place in the first half of the race. He managed to hold on to this position until the finish, securing the final World Championship point.
In the second moto, Vennekens came close to scoring points again but eventually had to settle for twenty-second place.
In the overall classification of the day, Vennekens finished twenty-second and now holds twenty-fifth place in the MX2 World Championship standings. Next weekend, Vennekens will line up for the Dutch Grand Prix in Arnhem.
