Solid Third Overall for Janis Reisulis at EMX250 Round 11 in Sweden

VHR VRT Yamaha Official EMX250 team’s Janis Reisulis has finished third overall at the 11th round of the 2025 EMX250 Championship in Sweden. Placing second in both races underlined the series leader’s speed and consistency, and he will now head to the penultimate round in the Netherlands with a 27-point lead.

Following a few weeks off in the EMX250 calendar, racing resumed at the hardpack circuit of Uddevalla in Sweden. The trip to northern Europe proved positive for Reisulis, who impressed by delivering two composed rides aboard his GYTR-kitted YZ250F.

Starting third in Race One, Reisulis made the move into second on lap five. By that time, race leader Francisco Garcia was just out of reach, and attempting to reel him in would have required taking unnecessary risks. With a comfortable gap over third, Reisulis maintained his strong pace to the finish to secure second.

In Race Two, Reisulis executed a perfect start and took the holeshot. With a clear track ahead of him, the Latvian controlled the race until a minor mistake allowed Noel Zanocz into the lead. Knowing the importance of securing vital championship points, Reisulis secured second in the race and claimed third overall on the day.

Ivano van Erp was also in action in Sweden. Having won the overall at the same venue one year ago, the Dutchman arrived confident of delivering another strong finish. Placing fourth in Race One kicked off the weekend with a positive result, although in Race Two, van Erp fell in the first turn and was unable to continue. The 20-year-old placed 11th overall and remains 10th in the championship with two rounds remaining.

The VHR VRT Yamaha Official EMX250 team returns to action next weekend in the Netherlands. The event marks the 12th of 13 rounds, before the series concludes in Turkey on September 6-7
