The Netherlands will line up with a powerhouse squad at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN): Glenn Coldenhoff, Kay de Wolf, and Calvin Vlaanderen will defend the Dutch colors in early October in the United States.
The MXoN is the annual world championship for national teams. Each of the three riders competes in their own class, fighting together for the overall title. At this highlight of the MX season, Coldenhoff will race in MXGP, De Wolf in MX2, and Vlaanderen in the Open class.
Glenn Coldenhoff: “I am very proud to represent our country in TeamNL for the 13th time at the Motocross of Nations in America. It always feels special, and my fire and motivation are just as strong as ever. I’m really looking forward to it!”
Kay de Wolf: “It’s fantastic to be part of TeamNL again—this will be my fourth year. It’s always great to represent the Netherlands. I’m really excited, and we’ll work together for a great result!”
Calvin Vlaanderen: “I’m extremely happy and proud to have been selected to represent TeamNL at the Motocross of Nations. With my current form, I’m determined to deliver a strong performance and make our fans proud, together with Glenn and Kay. I can’t wait to be there!”
Barry Forschelen (KNMV team manager): “The Netherlands has a wealth of talent, with several leading professionals at the top of the world stage—we are truly a motocross nation. TeamNL embodies that. The selection is a small puzzle each year, depending on many factors. I’m very happy with these riders, who have been performing at a high level all season in their World Championships. The 2025 Motocross of Nations will take place on October 4–5 at the Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana—the first time the event will be held at this venue. Before then, the riders still have several Grands Prix in the regular MXGP World Championship, starting next weekend with MXGP Arnhem!
