Glenn Coldenhoff – Outdoors only in USA?

Glenn Coldenhoff may be riding in his final MXGP races. The 34-year-old motocross rider from Best is in talks with several European teams, but there is also interest from America to race there. “And that country has always been a dream of mine,” he says.

Coldenhoff has an expiring contract with Fantic Factory Racing MXGP and does not yet know what his sporting future will look like. The motocross rider with roots in Heesch would prefer not to stop yet, although that is an option if no suitable match is found. “Looking at my physical condition, I can definitely go on for another year. I’m fully motivated for every race, and the results are good.”

A longer stay in the MXGP, in which he has been active since 2015, is not guaranteed. “I would certainly like to keep riding in MXGP, but with most of the good teams there are few spots left. There are more riders in the same situation. I could join other teams, but I’m very ambitious. The bike has to be good, there needs to be a strong team around me, and it has to be financially attractive. Those three things are hard to find in Europe.”

Coldenhoff hopes to have more information about his future in the next three weeks.
