Jett Lawrence managed to win the second moto of the AMA Pro Motocross at Ironman, but the overall victory went to his brother Hunter Lawrence, who claimed his first win in the 450 class. During the moto, Lawrence had a small crash and seemed to hand the overall victory to Chase Sexton, but Sexton shortly after had a spectacular crash himself and was forced to retire with a damaged front wheel.
Behind the Lawrence brothers, Eli Tomac finished third in the second moto ahead of RJ Hampshire and Justin Cooper. Jorge Prado spent much of the race in fifth but had to give up the position to Cooper in the final lap.
Valentin Guillod finished eleventh, Harri Kullas thirteenth, Benoit Paturel nineteenth, and Matti Jorgensen came home in twentieth.
