Tosha Schareina is one day away from winning the 2025 Sertões title.

After the cancellation of the seventh stage due to bad weather, the Spaniard is close to an unprecedented victory this Sunday, at the finish line in Marechal Deodoro .

Tosha Schareina is one day away from an unprecedented victory in the Sertões, riding the Monster Energy Honda HRC team’s Honda CRF 450 Rally motorcycle.

After the cancellation of the seventh stage by the organisers due to bad weather on Saturday , the riders continued their journey between the cities of Delmiro Gouveia and Marechal Deodoro, in Alagoas. As a result, the Spaniard maintained a 48min lead over the second-placed rider in the overall standings, as well as leading the Moto 1 category.

The final stage of the 33rd edition of Sertões, the eighth on the itinerary, is scheduled for this Sunday on the outskirts of Marechal Deodoro . Due to the rains that are still falling in the region, the organisation is considering cancelling the last day of the race. If it goes ahead, the stage will cover 314 kilometres (254 of which are special stages) to the finish line at Praia do Francês.

Today’s stage was cancelled due to bad weather. There was a lot of fog and the helicopters couldn’t take off. We travelled 400 km to Praia do Francês.

Later we will have a briefing and they will tell us what will happen with tomorrow’s stage, as we are unsure due to the bad weather.

After the cancellation of the seventh stage, I am one step closer to our goal. I have a big advantage, but we all know that nothing is decided until we reach the finish line. The last stage will be a day full of water and mud. I will try to drive calmly and without mistakes to cross the finish line and win our first Sertões.
