MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team’s Mano Faure has finished the 2025 EMX125 Championship as runner-up. The young Frenchman – who won six of the 12 rounds in this year’s campaign – came up just short of the title today in Lommel, Belgium. The season concluded with strong results for Faure’s teammates, with Jarne Bervoets claiming overall victory and Dani Heitink finishing fifth.
Despite not scoring points at the season opener in the deep mud of Spain, Faure bounced back to win the next round at home in France. From there, the GYTR-kitted YZ125 racer continued to climb the championship leaderboard as the year continued.
After winning round nine in Great Britain with a perfect 1-1 score, Faure moved to the top of the series standings for the first time in his career. At the penultimate race in Finland three weeks later, Faure finished as runner-up in both races to secure second overall. He then headed to the final round in Belgium six points down in the championship fight.
The opening race in Lommel was near-perfect for Faure, as he finished second behind Bervoets. This gave him a one-point cushion at the top of the championship going into the final race of the season. A first turn fall did little to deter Faure, who scythed his way through the field and back into title contention. However, further crashes later in the race were too much to overcome, and Nicolo Alvisi was ultimately crowned EMX125 Champion.
Bervoets was back to his best in Belgium. Spurred on by his home crowd, the round one winner picked up his first-ever EMX125 race victory on Saturday, before placing fifth in Race Two. The impressive results secured a second overall victory for Bervoets this year, who moved from 11th to eighth in the final standings.
Rounding out the season in style, Heitink placed fifth overall in Lommel courtesy of his 3-7 race results. For his efforts, the young Dutchman ended the season fifth in the championship. Underlining his consistency throughout the year, Heitink secured 10 top-10 overall results, and climbed onto the overall podium in both Switzerland and Latvia.
JK Racing Yamaha’s Jekabs Kubulins also enjoyed a strong end to the year in Belgium, finishing third overall. The Latvian, who won a race at round one in Spain, placed sixth in the series.
