The big names keep on rolling into the biggest and undisputed best vets motocross event in the world – VMXdN Foxhill, and it’s not just the VMXdN International Team Race class that is stacked with legends and talent, the Wright Engineering National Team Race gives our home grown talent an opportunity to ride in front of a packed amphitheatre on 22 year old two strokes, with all of the fans cheering, the air horns blaring, and flags waving, it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end just thinking about it.
Having taken the honours in 2023 team JMR 101 powered by Roly is back in 2025 and seeking podium pie.
“The VMXdN event has captured everyone’s imagination over the last three years and is the event that everyone wants to be part of. Having led the team to first place in 2023 I wanted to ensure we gave ourselves a realistic chance of getting on the box in 2025, I’ve pulled together three riders who enjoy the heat of the battle and have some great experience of the Foxhill track” Dave Garland – Team Manager
Carrying the number 37 plate is Sam Nunn. Nunn comes with plenty of experience and has ridden for some great teams over the years including Rob Hooper, CabScreens Yamaha and under the John Banks banner. He remains on fine form and won the Stebbing Car Superstore / Norton Way ACU Eastern Motocross Championship in 2024. Nunn finished 8th overall in the MX2 British championships in 2023 as well as winning 4 out of the 8 races he entered in VMXdN 2023, 2nd in the team race & 2nd in the solo class as well as a fourth overall in 2024, so he will be a front runner for sure.
Liam Knight joins the team, look out for the number 38 plate. Knight has bucket loads of experience having competed in the British Championship for numerous years and loads the old two stroke machine. He also knows his way around the Foxhill circuit having competed in both the Wright Engineering Team race and securing podium pie in the Ultra Evo class in 2023.
Rounding off the team is Liam Garland. No stranger to the team environment having represented Team GB at Coupe de l’Aviner on two occasions the former British 85cc British youth BYN champion knows what it is like to be on the winning team having taken home first spot in the Wright Engineering team race in 2023 alongside consistent podium spots over the years in the Ultra Evo race.
