Chase Sexton claimed victory in the first moto of the AMA Pro Motocross 450 class at Washougal. Sexton took the lead right after the start and managed to keep the attacking Jett Lawrence behind him. When Lawrence crashed, Sexton had a clear gap and went on to win the moto. Eli Tomac took over second place due to Lawrence’s crash and held onto it until the finish. Lawrence recovered to take third, ahead of RJ Hampshire and Hunter Lawrence.
Jorge Prado started in the lead group but couldn’t maintain the pace after a few laps and gradually dropped back during the race. He eventually finished in eighth place, just ahead of Valentin Guillod.
