The KymiRing’s first-ever Grand Prix wasn’t MotoGP, but it delivered some serious action! The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team rolled into Finland in Yamaha’s iconic red and white livery, marking the brand’s 70th anniversary. The #MXGP of Finland was especially sweet for Calvin Vlaanderen, who snagged his first podium finish of the season.
Meanwhile, in the EMX ranks, things are starting to heat up. VHR VRT Yamaha Official EMX250’s Janis Reisulis was cleaned out by his closest championship rival Noel Zancocz, costing him vital points in his title chase. On the flip side, MJC Yamaha Official EMX125’s Mano Faure battled hard to finish second and now sits just 6 points behind his closest competitor as the series heads into the final round.
