It looked set to be a fantastic day for the Bax brothers, who, after a year of absence, managed to win both motos of the Sidecarcross Grand Prix in Lommel. However, after the finish of the second moto, they were handed a two-place penalty, dropping them to third in the race classification. The victory went to the Leferink brothers, who had finished second in the first moto and thus claimed the overall win ahead of Bax and Wilkinson.
