Returning KX250 and KX450 headline next year’s range.
Kawasaki has unveiled its 2026 KX range, headlined by returning models in the KX250 and KX450 that carry over the major updates introduced in recent years, now sporting fresh graphics and proven race-focused performance.
For 2026, the KX250 builds on the major upgrades introduced in 2025, retaining the significantly updated engine platform that features a single shaft counter balancer, lighter crank, new rod, piston, and cylinder head. Its revised intake system remains a standout, drawing inspiration from the KX450 by positioning the intake above the shock tower for improved airflow and throttle response.
Showa components return for the KX250, featuring a 48mm front fork and the same rear shock setup found on the KX450. Combined with the lightweight aluminium frame and updated rigidity balance, the chassis continues to offer nimble, responsive handling across a variety of conditions.
Bodywork has also carried over with its minimalist, race-ready design. The slim ergonomics are paired with redesigned shrouds, side panels, and a rear fender that are shaped to improve rider movement while eliminating snag points. ODI lock-on grips and tool-free side panel access round out the rider-friendly details.
As with the KX450, the 2026 KX250 features smartphone tuning via Rideology The App KX, allowing riders to adjust ignition and fuel mapping straight from their device.
The flagship KX450 returns in full form for 2026, following its major generational update in 2024. With a proven 449cc engine at its core, the KX450 delivers race-winning performance and a refined electronics package that includes power modes, Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), and handlebar-mounted mapping switches.
Premium hardware includes Brembo front brakes, a coned disc-spring hydraulic clutch, and a 49mm Showa coil-spring front fork. The aluminium perimeter frame works in harmony with the straight downdraft intake and centrally aligned exhaust to deliver strong chassis feedback and stable handling, especially under load.
The KX450 also continues to offer smartphone tuning through Rideology The App KX, giving riders direct control of mapping and diagnostics without needing to plug in.
