The roar of two-strokes and national pride returns to the iconic Foxhill Grand Prix circuit this summer as Team Wales confirms its lineup for the 2025 VMXdN International Team Race, taking place August 21–24.
Flying the red dragon for 2025, running the 22 plate is Glen Phillips. The veteran racer who brings bags of experience, pace, and grit. A former British and European contender, as well as coach to the youth Team GB squad, Phillips knows how to get the job done when it counts. Expect fireworks when the gate drops on August Bank holiday weekend.
Alongside Phillips, on the 23 plate is Andrew Gillett. The 36-year-old from Maesteg, South Wales, is a solid and consistent performer. Gillett who has a long and illustrious MX career will be an asset to this line up, having been racing since he was nine at British Championship level until he retired from full-time racing in 2009. Gillett won the 2021 Evo Championship and is known for his smooth style and relentless determination. He’s got what it takes to deliver strong points for Team Wales.
Backed by a loyal Welsh fan base, Jonathan Roderick-Evans on the 24 plate is no stranger to the Foxhill track and has competed in previous years as a solo rider, Roderick-Evans rounds out the Team Wales squad bringing his aggressive racing and crowd-pleasing attitude. He’s hungry and ready to represent.
The team is once again under the guidance of Team Manager Guy Langmead, of Langmead Construction in Rhondda Cynon Taff, bringing his trademark blend of experience and passion to the pits.
With national pride on the line, Team Wales will be revved up and ready to battle it out against some of the fastest riders from around the globe.
