Jeffrey Herlings dominated the first moto of the ADAC Masters in Dreetz. He got off to a top-three start and took the lead from Max Spies early in the race. Herlings steadily built a comfortable gap and went on to win the moto ahead of Spies and Roan van de Moosdijk. Marcel Stauffer and Jörgen Matthias Talviku completed the top five.
Max Nagl crashed at the start and was forced to fight his way through the field. He managed to climb back to 14th place but lost valuable points to Max Spies in the battle for the championship!
