Hakon Osterhagen Takes Fourth Place in EMX250 Latvia

Hakon Osterhagen of AIT Racing secured a top-five finish in the eighth round of the EMX250 Championship held in Kegums, Latvia. Osterhagen delivered an impressive performance in the first moto, finishing fourth.

He struggled to find the right rhythm during time practice and ended up with only the fourteenth fastest time. However, a strong start in the first moto allowed him to begin the race in third position. Feeling confident, he kept up with the riders ahead. Despite a few small mistakes that caused him to drop back slightly, he recovered well and regained some lost positions. After a strong ride, Osterhagen crossed the finish line in fourth place.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t replicate his first moto performance in the second race. A poor start set him back early, and he was unable to find his flow, which made it difficult to make up ground. He eventually finished in 22nd place.

Due to his zero score in the second moto, he ended up 11th overall for the day. In the current standings of the EMX250 Championship, he now holds 25th position.

For Vencislav Toshev, it was a weekend of ups and downs. In free practice, he felt comfortable on the track and managed to set the fourth fastest time in his group. He was also riding well in time practice but wasn’t able to put together a perfect lap. Still, he secured the eighth fastest time in his group.

In the first moto, Toshev started around 15th place but unfortunately crashed, forcing him to begin a comeback race. He gave it his all for the rest of the moto and managed to fight his way back to 15th place.

With fresh motivation, he lined up for the second moto. Unfortunately, he didn’t get a good start again. Soon after, he encountered a mechanical issue that ultimately forced him to finish outside the points in 30th place.

Due to the zero score in the second moto, Toshev had to settle for 22nd place overall for the day. In the EMX125 Championship standings, he now holds 17th position.

The next EMX race is scheduled for the weekend of June 21–22 at the British venue of Matterley Basin.
