Race Win and Podium Finish for Lotte van Drunen in Germany

Lotte van Drunen of the De Baets MX team secured a race win and finished second overall at the third round of the Women’s Motocross World Championship, held in Teutschenthal, Germany.

Saturday started off well for Van Drunen, as she found a good rhythm on the technical track. In time practice, she set an impressive lap to qualify second fastest. Her start in the first moto was also strong, and she quickly moved into second place by the second corner. However, she struggled to find her flow afterward and rode with some tension. She battled for second place for much of the race but ultimately had to settle for third at the checkered flag.

In the second moto, Lotte showed the form she is known for. She grabbed the holeshot and immediately set a strong pace. Riding freely, as she does during training, she quickly built a gap over the rider in second place. Maintaining full focus until the end, she took a commanding race win.

With 3-1 finishes in the motos, Van Drunen secured second place overall for the day and retains the lead in the championship standings. She now holds a 6-point advantage over the rider in second. The next Grand Prix will be her home race in Arnhem, taking place over the weekend of August 23–24.
