Lucas Coenen won the first moto of the Grand Prix of Germany ahead of Jeffrey Herlings. The two riders battled wheel to wheel for the entire race. Coenen kept his composure all the way to the finish and took the win ahead of Herlings and Calvin Vlaanderen. Romain Febvre was close behind them throughout the moto but couldn’t make a pass and had to settle for fourth place.
