Andrea Adamo claimed victory in the first MX2 moto of the Grand Prix of Germany. Sacha Coenen led for much of the race, but midway through he was overtaken by Adamo. The Italian maintained a strong pace and took the win ahead of Coenen and Simon Laengenfelder.
Kay de Wolf recovered to seventh after a mediocre start. Cas Valk crashed early in the race and finished sixteenth, just ahead of Ivano van Erp. Kay Karssemakers also scored two points! Scott Smulders finished 24th, just outside the points.
