Bertram Thorius Comes Close to the Top Ten in EMX125 Arco

Bertram Thorius of the De Baets MX team came close to finishing in the top ten during the fourth round of the EMX125 Championship in Arco di Trento, Italy.

Thorius found a good rhythm throughout the weekend on the technical track of Arco di Trento. He qualified 18th in his group but then had an excellent start in the first moto. He exited the opening lap just outside the top ten and managed to hold his position well during the first half of the race. In the second half, he had to give up a few spots, but Thorius kept fighting until the checkered flag and managed to regain a few positions. He ultimately finished in 14th place.

In the second moto, he once again had a great start and this time was able to begin the race within the top ten. He rode strongly and managed to stay in the top ten until the final stages. With two laps to go, he lost one position and finished in a very respectable 11th place.

With these results, Thorius also secured 11th overall in the day’s classification. In the current standings of the EMX125 Championship, he now sits in 21st place.

Lotte van Drunen competed in the MX2 class. Her goal was to gain as much experience as possible, and she succeeded in doing just that. Lotte had a solid weekend, finishing 26th and 27th in the motos. She will now begin preparations for the second round of the Women’s World Championship, which will take place in four weeks in Lugo, Spain.

Next weekend, Thorius will compete in the fifth round of the EMX125 Championship in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.
