Nicolas Vennekens of VNT Racing is currently in the top twenty after three rounds of the MX2 World Championship. Vennekens scored points in the first two rounds in Argentina and Spain, but was unable to do so in the third round in St. Jean d’Angely, France.
The St. Jean d’Angely circuit was in perfect condition on Saturday morning. However, by the end of the afternoon, it started raining, which changed the conditions. Vennekens qualified in 22nd place and knew that he would need to step up his game on Sunday to compete for points.
In the races on Sunday, he finished in 25th place in both heats, meaning he did not score points in either race. Despite this, Vennekens remains in the top twenty in the overall standings of the World Championship.
Next Sunday, Vennekens will race in the first round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Harfsen, and the following weekend, the next Grand Prix will take place in Riola Sardo, Sardinia.
