Nicolas Vennekens Scores 7 Points in the Spanish Mud

Nicolas Vennekens of VNT KTM Racing had a strong performance in the second round of the MX2 World Championship in Cozar, Spain.

Vennekens managed to hold his own in the deep mud and secured seven points with an eighteenth and a seventeenth place finish in the motos.

The conditions in Cozar were particularly tough. It had rained heavily before the weekend, and the rain continued throughout the event.

On Saturday afternoon, the track improved slightly, but the rain returned overnight from Saturday to Sunday, making the track very deteriorated again. Even during the motos on Sunday, the rain kept pouring, turning the event into a survival challenge for the riders.

Although Nicolas ran into trouble multiple times in both motos, he pushed through well. With an eighteenth place in the first moto, he earned three points. In the second moto, he rode several laps in sixteenth place and eventually finished seventeenth.

In total, Vennekens scored seven points in Spain and returned home with a sense of satisfaction. He finished nineteenth overall for the day, which is also his current position in the World Championship standings. The championship will continue next weekend in St. Jean d’Angely, France.
