Coenen and Laengenfelder Win First Moto in Montevarchi

Lucas Coenen and Simon Laengenfelder managed to win the first moto of the Italian Championship in Montevarchi.

In the 500 class, Tim Gajser appeared to be heading towards victory, but he fell in the final stages, allowing Coenen to take over the lead. Coenen also fell later in the race, but he was able to maintain his lead and won ahead of Gajser and Mattia Guadagnini. Isak Gifting and Andrea Bonacorsi completed the top five. Glenn Coldenhoff recovered from a poor start to finish in sixth place.

In the 250 class, Andrea Adamo led until the second-to-last lap but then fell, handing the victory to Simon Laengenfelder. Adamo finished second, followed by Valerio Lata and Ferruccio Zanchi. Cas Valk had a poor start but fought his way back through the field to finish in fifth. Sacha Coenen fell at the start and began the race from last. Despite a few more falls during the race, he fought his way back to seventh place.

In the 125cc class the win went to Niccolo Mannini.
