Levi Kitchen claimed victory in the final of the East Coast Lites Supercross Championship in Detroit. For a long time, it seemed that Max Anstie would take the win, as he had a lead of more than 6.5 seconds over Kitchen with three laps to go. However, a heavy crash by Cameron McAdoo caused a red flag situation, forcing the riders to restart the race.
The restart lasted only three laps. Anstie took the lead, but Kitchen was extremely aggressive, managed to overtake him, and won the final ahead of Anstie, RJ Hampshire, and Tom Vialle.
