ADAC MX Masters Series 2025 – Changes

The 21st season of the ADAC MX Masters introduces several significant changes. The mandatory promotion across all classes will be abolished. In addition to the established team ranking, 2025 will see the introduction of a youth team ranking for the first time. The prize money structure will be adjusted to allow for higher payouts at events. Due to scheduling conflicts, the season finale in Holzgerlingen has been moved forward by a week to September 13–14, 2025. Riders can register online for the new season starting December 23, 2024, at adac.de/mx-masters. Team registrations will open on February 1, 2025.

Fans can look forward to an exciting season featuring numerous top German riders competing against an international field. Defending champion Max Nagl (D) has confirmed his participation in the ADAC MX Masters and will compete with the Dörr Motorsport Triumph Racing Team on a Triumph bike. Jordi Tixier (F) and Jakub Teresak (CZ) have also announced their entries. Additionally, riders like Maximilian Spies (D), Noah Ludwig (D), Lukas Platt (D), and Tim Koch (D) will return for the upcoming season. Fans can already purchase tickets for the first three events of the new season online.

Regulation Changes

Several important regulation adjustments are in place for the 2025 season. In alignment with the rules of the Motocross World Championship, the top three finishers in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup, ADAC MX Junior Cup 125, and ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 will now have the option to remain in their current class as long as they meet the age requirements. Riders will only be required to move up to the next class after winning their second title in the same class.

To ensure greater fairness, all races in the new season will start with uniform gates, similar to those used in the World and European Championships. Another change involves the prize money structure. With a reallocation of year-end bonuses to event-based prize payouts, individual race successes will be more rewarded. Although the championship bonus will be reduced, participants can earn more prize money overall under the new system.

The team ranking will be expanded to include a youth team category to support teams focusing on nurturing young talents in the three junior classes. Teams in both categories will now receive event-based prize payouts instead of year-end bonuses.

Schedule Adjustments for ADAC MX Masters and DMX

Due to overlaps in the international and national racing calendars, the season finale of the ADAC MX Masters has been moved up a week to September 13–14. The DMX solo classes’ finale originally scheduled for this date in Thurm will now take place on September 27–28, 2025. The DMX Women’s event in Gräfentonna has been canceled and will instead be held as part of the ADAC MX Masters in Tensfeld on July 19–20, 2025.

Registration

Online registration for the 2025 ADAC MX Masters season opens on December 23 at adac.de/mx-masters. Riders and teams can apply for season-long or single-event slots until February 14, 2025.
