Jett Lawrence's now had surgery, as planned, and released this update on social media. It isn't much but, hey, it is something! Reports suggest that he will miss the next three rounds of Monster Energy Supercross but will return when the 250SX West division picks back up in Seattle on March 28. The fact that his post was accompanied by a picture of Seattle hints at that.
"Update: Dr. visit went well guys Be back at the races soon."
January 19 (17:26).
Jett Lawrence may have finished ninth at the third round of 2020 Monster Energy Supercross, but there is no doubt that he was the star. Lawrence had every single fan in the stadium on their feet as he battled for the lead and made some wild mistakes. The final mistake, just seconds before the finish line, unfortunately bit him and stopped him from reaching the chequered flag. Lawrence has finally released the following update on his health after the vicious incident.
"No words really guys! I'll never settle for second and will always leave everything out on the track. Lucky to only have a broken collarbone. We will get it all sorted tomorrow and get back to the races ASAP. Thanks for all the support and messages."
There is obviously no word on when Lawrence will return to racing, but one would presume that he'll be back after the 250SX East swing. Christian Craig – his teammate who also had a crazy crash – will be back on track at round four next weekend.
