Those inside the The Dome at America's Center were concerned when Christian Craig crashed in the 250SX main event on Saturday night and took a while to get back on his feet. Although he did eventually get up under his own power and ride back to the pits, there were still questions about his condition and status for future races. Craig has now confirmed that he is okay and will be back on track at Anaheim 2 though. The following statement was released.
"Had a good night going with a heat win! I was in a good position in the main for a podium spot but unfortunately clipped a tuff block and took a handlebar straight to the stomach. I'll be good to go for A2. Taking positives from the night and learning from the mistakes. I'M STILL HUNGRY. Thanks team."
After failed to finish the 250SX West main event in St. Louis and being awarded just a single point, Craig has slipped to ninth in the current championship standings. Twenty-seven points separate him from the championship leader.
