It seems as though the injuries that Cameron McAdoo sustained in St. Louis are worse than first feared, as he just released the following social-media statement with more on his condition. His status for the upcoming 250SX rounds is currently unknown.

"I would like to thank everybody for reaching out yesterday. Unfortunately, I had a pretty simple little crash in practice with my bike landing on me. I was able to get my oxygen levels back up to normal so I tried to ride last practice, but could tell something was not okay. I went straight back to the medics they then sent me to the hospital, and they immediately found that I had a fully collapsed right lung and a partially collapsed left lung. I was put under right away for a chest tube, and further tests. I am currently in the hospital in St. Louis hoping to get out some time tomorrow! I've been feeling better than ever on the bike, and can't wait to heal up to get back out there! Much love."

After not scoring any points in St. Louis, McAdoo now sits fourteenth in the 250SX West championship standings. There are eight rounds left to run.

The opening round of 2020 Monster Energy Supercross was fairly kind to the competitors, as there were no significant injuries or anything along those lines. The second round, St. Louis, has unfortunately bit a title contender though. Cameron McAdoo is out of the event after a crash in the first timed session this morning. Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki announced the news with the following extract from social media.

"Cameron McAdoo will not be lining up for tonight's race due to his crash in the first qualifying session."

It is thought that McAdoo is just banged up, as he actually returned to the track to complete a single lap in the final session before returning to the paddock. It was immediately obvious that this was not going to work out. McAdoo sits sixth in the 250SX West points following Anaheim 1.
