Austin Forkner has been fairly quiet since he dropped out of the Monster Energy Supercross series with a torn ACL but he did start riding again three weeks ago. Another bump in the road has been encountered though, as he had to undergo surgery to fix a nerve issue in his wrist. The issue arose when he started to encounter issues with his fingers in training. The news was announced via the following social-media post.

"This sucks, but a couple months ago I noticed my fingers feeling funny/not really working right. Then when I started riding again I could tell even more something wasn't right. Turns out I had a nerve problem, possibly from when I wrecked my wrist a couple years ago, but they weren't really sure. Either way, I had to get it fixed and had surgery a few days ago. Only a few weeks off the bike so not a huge deal just an update!"

The good news is that he will only be off of the bike for a couple of weeks, so he should still be ready for the 250SX West division if Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki decide that is the best route to go down. Garrett Marchbanks, Cameron McAdoo and Jordon Smith will sit alongside him beneath the awning in 2020. McAdoo and Smith are new to the outfit.
