Following the crash at the Grand Prix of Turkey last weekend, Tommy Searle has withdrawn from the final round of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship. Searle has still felt discomfort in his shoulder throughout the week. The news was announced earlier today with the following quote from Francois Lemariey, the team manager.

"We all know that this tough sport can be ungrateful, and this year it was particularly tough with us. For a few weeks now we are all focused on next season, and we'll take this as a plus. We know the 450 KX Kawasaki perfectly and we're convinced that 2020 will bring better results for the team and all our partners. Thanks to everyone for staying behind us in this difficult period!"

Monster Energy KRT just released more information on Tommy Searle's condition after his crash in warm up this morning. The following extract is from the team's press release.

"During the warm up on Sunday morning, in his fifth circulation, Tommy crashed and suffered a shoulder contusion which forced him to withdraw from the GP. He will normally be back on track next weekend in China for the final round of the 2019 championship."

Tommy Searle has been on quite a roll since joining the Monster Energy KRT outfit towards the end of July. There have been countless top-ten finishes and he has edged closer to the top five each week as well, so hopes were high for the final two rounds of the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship. The KRT team confirmed this morning that he would not be racing at the Grand Prix of Turkey today though. The following statement was released.

"TS100 will not race today due a crash in warm-up this morning. More information will be announced soon."

Details are obviously sparse at the moment but more information will be added to this page in due course. Searle was eleventh in the qualifying race yesterday.
