The weather was on our side heading into the second round of the Bridgestone British Masters held at Wroxton, in Banbury, last weekend. I say it was on our side, event though it rained for most of Saturday, as heading into Sunday's racing the forecast had changed and allowed the pro classes to carve some lines up for the youngsters!
Ike Carter pretty much dominated the MXY2 Class across the weekend putting him first overall, shortly followed by Kyle McNicholl and Aaron Patsone. Moving on to the Clubman championship with a stacked field, Greg Fisher took the overall with Charlie Sutton only six points behind. Sutton was joint third on points with Alex Harvey. Rider interviews can be found on this link.
With the mix of Amateur MX1, Amateur MX2, SW85, BW85, 125, Junior 65 and Expert Pro MX1/MX2 classes there was stacks of racing to be watched across the weekend! Jake Millward and Jake Shipton were battling it out all weekend in the professional category, with Shipton taking the overall. Millward lifted the Bridgestone Cup at the end of the weekend.
