Josh Waterman, double IMBA and AMCA championship winner, has made a jump to Yamaha for the upcoming season, after changing from the IDS Transport KTM. The AM Motors/IDS Transport banner is what he'll run under. After dominating an overwhelming majority of the AMCA Championship rounds last year, it will be interesting to see how Waterman performs in his new colours.
"Well, after riding a KTM for around ten years now I felt like I needed a change," Waterman told MX Vice exclusively. "We sat down with AM Motors and came up with a package to ride any brand, but the Yamaha did catch my eye! After doing a bit of research and chatting to a few pros, they were all raving about the new Yamahas. We decided to make the switch after discussing it with IDS Transport. Luckily, Pip Davies loaned me a bike to try and, after really liking it, that cemented the decision and I decided to commit to Yamaha for a new challenge for 2019!"
