Cole Seely caught the attention of onlookers during timed qualifying at the eighth round of 2019 Monster Energy Supercross, Detroit, but then did not line up for the night show. What happened? Seely hurt his chest during the daytime programme and could not handle the pain, so made the wise decision to move onto the sidelines. The statement below was released moments before the first race of the night.
"Bummed I won't be lining up tonight. I had a practice incident and hurt my sternum in the first qualifier. I tried to ride the final session but the pain was too much to hold on. I was feeling so fast tonight too! Good luck to my @Honda_Powersports_US teammates and I'll be back soon."
Although he did not race in Detroit, Cole Seely still runs eleventh in the premier-class standings with ninety-four points to his name. Ten points separate him from the rider in ninth.
