Interesting news from New Zealand. Josh Coppins, who runs the extremely successful Altherm JCR Yamaha team, has signed Ben Townley as a brand ambassador for bLU cRU. Ben's son Levi, who recently finished in second at the KJSC event at Anaheim 2 in Southern California, will now pilot a YZ65 as well. The news was announced via the statement below.
"I'm excited to welcome @BenTownleyMX to @bLUcRU_NZ. We are both passionate about riding motorcycles and helping riders achieve there [sic] potential. This strengthens Yamaha growth and support at all levels. JCR has invested heavily internationally in recent years, but this restructure brings us back to our roots. Adding @RhysCarter__ and @Carter_Coaching beginning in April plus more exciting activations along with our team riders, supported riders and great customers. The futures exciting thanks to each and everyone of you for your support!"
It is currently unknown what events Ben Townley will compete in as a member of bLU cRU, but he is expected to compete in random enduro events for fun. Townley also runs his new business venture, Ben Townley Tours, which is a holiday camp for those who want to go riding in New Zealand.
