Jason Anderson baffled everyone in attendance at Angel Stadium on Saturday night. The reigning 450SX champion started the main event in third, which was a great spot to be in, then dropped all of the way back to fourteenth without any crashes or issues to speak of. Anderson was then not available for interviews after the race, but has now broken his silence with a social-media post that explains why he was so off at the opening round of Monster Energy Supercross.
"Man, yesterday did not go well… Kinda [sic] overwhelmed with everything going on and wasn't myself at all. Looking forward to bringing it back around in the next rounds and really want to thank my crew for all the support no matter how I do. Sorry guys, but still looking forward and ready to give 110% the rest of the season! Also shoutout to my good friend @DeanWilson15 for absolutely crushing it!"
After acquiring a fourteenth in the 450SX main event at Anaheim 1, Jason Anderson currently has nine points to his name. That means that he trails the current series leader, Justin Barcia, by seventeen points heading into round two in Glendale this weekend.
