Tommy Searle was set to make his return to racing at the third Michelin MX Nationals round this weekend, but another problem has been encountered. Steve Dixon, the team manager at Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki, confirmed on social media that Searle sustained a broken hand earlier this week.
"I just received news yesterday that Tommy broke his hand," Dixon wrote. "Such a setback for Tommy – it's the nature of the sport."
Searle was initially supposed to make his return to the FIM Motocross World Championship at the Grand Prix of Lombardia-Italy in two weeks. It has not yet been confirmed when he'll be able to make it onto a starting line though.
