Thankfully no new injuries were sustained at the first round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, so this list has not grown too much. Dylan Ferrandis and Cole Seely suffered some health issues, following separate incidents, but those will not rule them out of this weekend.
In for Glen Helen.
Bradley Taft: Bradley Taft has been missing for quite some time, after hitting his head in the days prior to Anaheim 1. That is no longer as much of a concern, however, as he’ll hop aboard his CycleTrader Rock River Yamaha again this weekend.
Dylan Ferrandis: Dylan Ferrandis withdrew from Hangtown after hitting his head during the first moto of the season. ‘108’ rode this week, however, and now feels well enough to race the second round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.
Cole Seely: “I went down hard in practice and landed directly on my hip, so I was unsure if I was even going to be able to ride at one point," Cole Seely stated following Hangtown. “Just to be safe, I went over to Alpinestars to get an x-ray. Everything checked out okay, so I could go back out there." Seely will race at Glen Helen also.
Out of Glen Helen.
Davi Millsaps: Multiple wrist injuries plagued Davi Millsaps during Monster Energy Supercross, so he has withdrawn from the outdoors to get those ailments fixed. Millsaps is adamant that he will make it back for some rounds.
Jordon Smith: Jordon Smith is still dealing with a painful back, following that monstrous crash at the Las Vegas finale. Smith attempted to ride press day at Hangtown, but had to withdraw from the event almost immediately. Smith will miss Glen Helen also.
Trey Canard: Trey Canard’s struggles continue. After withdrawing from Monster Energy Supercross with a virus, he got back on his bike and broke his collarbone. Canard is still recovering from that, unsurprisingly, so will miss Glen Helen.
Jimmy Albertson: Jimmy Albertson is out indefinitely, as he suffered the following injuries during supercross: A fracture of the manubrium and body of the sternum, fractured T5 through T7 vertebrae, compression of the T4 through T6, epidural hematoma at T5, bilateral patchy lung contusions and a left metacarpal fracture.
Chase Sexton: A broken femur, which was sustained in Atlanta, will stop Chase Sexton from racing Glen Helen. The Geico Honda rider is back on a bike though.
Phil Nicoletti: Phil Nicoletti is hopeful that he will be able to return before the end of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross, after bowing out with an injury at round six of Monster Energy Supercross.
Matt Bisceglia: Matt Bisceglia will miss the first couple of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross rounds, as he continues to recover from a broken leg. Bisceglia is expected to return before the halfway point.
Benny Bloss: A fractured humerus and dislocated shoulder, sustained during Monster Energy Supercross, will cause Benny Bloss to miss the first few rounds of the outdoors.
RJ Hampshire: After breaking his tibia and fibula in March, RJ Hampshire was shooting for a return at Hangtown. Hampshire is still not back, however, so Geico Honda are missing a rider.
Ken Roczen: The injuries that Ken Roczen sustained to his wrist, arm and elbow continue to keep him on the sidelines. The Honda HRC pilot is not expected to jump back on a bike any time soon.
Chris Alldredge: A partially collapsed lung, fractured pelvis, lacerated liver, fractured rib and fractured L1, L2, L3, and L4 continue to sideline Chris Alldredge.
