Conrad Mewse has had a turbulent time of it in the FIM Motocross World Championship thus far. All of that was put in the past at the Grand Prix of Latvia, however, as he romped to a third-place finish in the second moto and silenced any doubters. His progress has now been halted once more though, as he sustained a minor ankle injury in training.
"After two amazing weeks of training and a great last GP everything was going perfect, until I landed heavy off a jump on Tuesday and broke a small bone in my left ankle," he wrote on social media. "It's a massive disappointment that I will miss this weekend's GP, but will be back in France. Best of luck to the team," he concluded.
Conrad Mewse currently sits nineteenth in the MX2 standings, after overcoming the struggles that he faced at the first three rounds. Speaking of that, you can listen to Mewse discuss the difficult situation.
