Alcohol tests in MXGP.

Ever since the James Stewart drama that occurred a couple of years ago, the name WADA has been recognisable for the average fan. They are back again, not that they ever went anywhere, with alcohol testing in the FIM Motocross World Championship. The tests were run at the Grand Prix of Leon and then the Grand Prix of Trentino.

According to a statement on the FIM-LIVE.com website, "WADA agreed that the FIM could henceforth consider alcohol as no longer prohibited as a doping agent but as a substance prohibited for safety reasons under with the FIM Medical Code." Following on from that new procedure, alcohol tests were carried out with a breathalyser. All of the test results were negative and "the threshold is equivalent to a blood concentration of 0.10 g/L," according to the statement. The riders in the tables below were tested.
