Phew, we managed to roll it out just in time! You may have stumbled onto Fox MX Manager on MX Vice for the FIM Motocross World Championship or the Maxxis British Championship, but if you're new to the game this short guide will prove to be useful.
After signing up to MX Manager, you are then taken to the main page where you will need to click on the bottom banner with MX Nationals text on there. Once you're into your main screen you will be able to click on the blue button that allows you to create your team.
Here is where the fun and frustration starts. You have £100,000 to spend on riders. That sounds great, hey? Perfect for running a team in the real world. That's all great, but it depends on how much the riders cost. Graeme Irwin and Mel Pocock aren't cheap, as I am sure that you can imagine!
Now you have to start to think about strategy. If we simply gave you another 100k, then everybody would pick the same riders and the game would be pretty boring. Now it's all about research and what better way than looking on the MX Nationals website to read past reports and results to see the potential of these riders.

This means that you can adopt different strategies. You could blow all your money on a pair of top riders in MX1 and MX2, then spend the rest on a mid-pack rider in the BW85 class. You could select mid-pack riders across the board in the big-bike categories, but not select any 85 riders. You only get points if you're 85 rider will finish in the top five, after all.
What will help you is acquiring as much knowledge about the riders as possible. Delve into the archives to look at previous results and form, as that'll determine which riders could potentially bring in the points. You could pick six average-priced riders that might finish in the lower half of the top ten consistently, as mentioned above, rather than go for two riders who will always find themselves on the podium. The risk is higher with an elite guy, of course, as a simple DNF could curtail your efforts. You'd have nothing else to fall back on!
Remember, and we cannot stress this enough, you do not have to pick all six riders to fill the slots! If you feel that just two riders can deliver the points and the championship for you, then go for it.
Oh, are you wondering why the clubman and amateur riders are not included? We'll let you know before we sign off. There are two reasons; we ran out of time to get this into motion and we didn't have enough data (information) to determine prices on riders in those classes. We will look to add this in 2018. Hey, if you look to sign up for the Michelin MX Nationals in 2018 you may just find yourself on MX Manager on Europe's leading motocross website!
