Round one will not take place this weekend.

The British season was set to fire into life this weekend, as round one of the Michelin MX Nationals was scheduled to take place at FatCat Moto Parc. The weather has thrown those plans into a state of flux, however, as a waterlogged circuit has forced the promoters to cancel the event.

"Really sorry to say that after a track inspection at 8.00am this morning, the track is waterlogged," a social media statement revealed. "More rain came last night and with two days of rain due leading up to the weekend we have been forced to cancel the event this weekend. Working closely with the track owners we have tried to make this decision as early as possible to avoid people travelling and minimise any costs incurred. No decision has been made with regard to re-running this event yet."

The second round of the Michelin MX Nationals will take place at Preston Docks on April 1st/2nd.
