Following a turbulent campaign last year, in which he showed countless flashes of speed, British fans were eager to see Tommy Searle fulfil his potential in the premier class this season. The year is off to a rocky start though, as the knee injury that he sustained in the off-season will sideline him through the first four rounds of the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship.
Searle underwent knee surgery right at the end of last year, according to a press release, and was hoping to be ready for the start of the new season. He obviously needs more time, so the earliest that we will see ‘100' is at Pietramurata in the middle of April. Searle will also miss the first round of the 2017 Maxxis British Championship.
