Ty Masterpool stepped in at the last minute for the second race of the West Coast Lites Supercross Championship in San Diego, filling in for Levi Kitchen on the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team.
Everything was going well, and Masterpool was riding in the top ten during the final until it went wrong in a rhythm section and crashed hard.
Journalist Steve Matthes revealed after the race that Masterpool has broken several fingers. Neither Masterpool nor the team have made an official statement yet, but if this is the case, Masterpool will be out for the upcoming races.
